Lovi Poe on Ronald Singson: "Ang pagiging mabuting tao niya sa akin, yun ang importante."

Lovi Poe is one of the leading ladies of Richard Gutierrez in the pre-Valentine offering of GMA Films and Regal Entertainment, My Valentine Girls.


In the movie, she appears in the "BBFF" or "Best Boyfriend Forever" episode that marks the big screen debut of Solenn Heusaff. The former Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Showdown castaway portrays a marine biologist being courted by Richard. However, Solenn gives him the brush-off and pairs him off with Lovi, who plays a designer.




During the movie's press conference held at the Imperial Palace Suites in Quezon City, Lovi told PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) that she last talked to Ronald Singson on January 13.


Ronald, the son of Ilocos Sur governor Luis "Chavit" Singson, was arrested at the Hong Kong airport on July 11, 2010. He was allegedly carrying 6.7 grams of cocaine and two tablets of diazepam, commonly known as Valium. He is now out on bail but cannot leave Hong Kong.


When members of the press asked Lovi if she will be going to Hong Kong to attend his January 26 hearing, she said, "I don't know if I'm going to be there but hopefully, okay ang lahat."


Although Lovi has described herself as "single" in her Twitter account, she said: "It's hard to explain but it wasn't me."


Is she single now?

"I don't want to comment," said the GMA-7 actress.


Did she receive a Christmas gift from Ronald?

"Ayoko namang sabihin kung ano pero it's beautiful. Hindi ko naman kailangan ng gift kasi ang pagiging mabuting tao niya sa akin, yun ang importante.


"Sobrang bait niya. Hindi niya ako kailangan daanin sa anu-anong bagay kasi mabait siyang tao."


Last December 31, Ronald pleaded guilty to possession of illegal drugs. This offense is punishable by a maximum imprisonment of seven years and a maximum fine of HK$1million.


Lovi's reaction?

"It's hard for me to make a comment kasi maselan pa. Hindi pa siya pwede pag-usapan because the case is ongoing. Hintayin na lang kung anong mangyayari."


Lovi stressed that she is giving her full support to the Ilocos Sur representative. "We're still hoping for the best," she said.
